Shannon was born and raised in Southern California’s Mojave Desert. She has always cultivated a love of the arts and history.

She holds a BA in Art History from Arizona State University and a MA in Art History from the University of California, Riverside with a specialization in nineteenth and early twentieth-century British art and design. Shannon has lived, worked, and traveled extensively throughout the UK, during which she completed a specialized research program at the Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies at Keble College, University of Oxford.

In between her time in the UK, Shannon has worked in post-secondary education, museum education, and museum collections. She joined Moran’s as the Furniture and Decorative Arts Cataloguer where she was responsible for identifying and reviewing a diverse selection of property for more than fifteen auctions per year, ranging from mid-century modern to Indigenous North American objects. In her current role as Appraisal Administrator, Shannon assists with the research, preparation, and processing of all appraisal documents. She is an Accredited Member of the International Society of Appraisers with a specialty in Antiques and Decorative Art.

When she’s not working, Shannon can be found reading fantasy novels, hiking, antiquing, and collecting vintage books.
