Roland has been in the antique and fine art business since 1994.

Roland joined John Moran Auctioneers in 1999. As a generalist, Roland has a broad knowledge of personal estate property, and is responsible for researching and cataloguing all types of objects, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, silver, porcelain and carpets; his specialty in clocks and watches also has him working closely with Moran’s Jewelry Department. He regularly prepares formal valuations for insurance and fair-market purposes.

In his role as Estates Auction Director, Roland is responsible for overseeing the thematic scope of each of Moran’s ten Decorative Art Auctions held throughout the year, as well as for coordinating Moran’s free monthly walk-in appraisal days for the local community.
